JANKA ENGINEERING s.r.o. test-room

The measurement of performance parameters of our products is an integral part of the quality management system of the manufacturing process. It is impossible to develop any quality product without this measurement. Therefore we have been testing our products since the time JANKA was established. Three small test rooms in three factories were operated in JANKA facilities in the 1980s. These small test rooms were replaced with a single large test room later on. Our test room is one of the most up-to date test rooms in Europe these days and has the capacity for testing of the parameters and values shown in the chart below. This test room is one of the key aspects why JANKA has continued as a top producer of air-handling and air–conditioning equipment.

We run these measurements in the test-room:

Vibrometers

Recuperative exchangers characteristic

  • Humidity / efficiency – it is accuracy of humidity
  • Air penetration through leakage
  • Pressure drop

Air-handling equipments pressure drop

  • Pressure drop in air flow volume

Tightness of air-handling equipments

  • Air ducts
  • Chambers of air-handling units
  • Others - filters (for example)

Thermal bridges

  • On casing of air handling unit

Long term testing of new devices in concrete cell

  • Extreme speed fans
  • Small fans destructive tests

Limiting conditions

  • Measured units are limited by test room area
  • If using the test track then limit length for units
  • (the size KLM25 and larger) is 3m
  • Maximal electrical power of fan is 30 kilowatts
  • Exhaust position of tested units is also limited

Transportation Unit

In January 2012 a new type of tram was showed at Škoda Transportation a. s. Also JANKA air conditioning unit which will be placed to the tram, was showed there.
